Chula Vista

This project presented a few challenges:

  • The neighbor added a block wall on the north side, making a small yard look smaller and darker
  • The existing sidewalk was uninviting
  • The porch entry was drab
  • Client lacked convenient hose bib access near garage door
  • The yard was mostly water-greedy lawn
  • It was necessary to maintain the National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitat status

Look at how we solved these challenges in the photos below. Note that we designed a dry creekbed to redirect runoff water into swales, keeping it on the property and saving precious water. We also repurposed concrete from the old sidewalk, turning it into a pathway on the south side of the house.

The result of all this drought-tolerant, environmentally correct work is a very happy client!
